Opposition contender Anguios Nganguia-Engambé has confirmed that he will run his bid for the Congo-Brazzaville presidency from the air, criss-crossing the country in a private jet ahead of the March 15, 2026 vote.
A Familiar Strategy Returns to the Trail
The choice is not new for the candidate. He used the same approach during the 2009 presidential election, making aviation a signature feature of how he reaches voters across the Republic of the Congo.
The jet has already been part of his early movements this cycle. He travelled by private aircraft to attend the national dialogue held in Djambala from February 16 to 19, 2026, signalling how central air travel is to his plans.
Campaign Machinery Rolls Out Across Departments
His team says the campaign apparatus is being rolled out systematically across every department. The effort is presented under a theme its organisers describe as the rise of new ideas, conceived to be engaging and immersive for those it seeks to mobilise.
According to the candidate’s entourage, the schedule for his electoral tour is being finalised. The team is also preparing to unveil his policy programme and has approved a campaign budget that earmarks substantial resources for travel by private aviation.
An Appeal to Youth and a Promise of Change
Nganguia-Engambé is directing a particular call to young people across the districts of the Nkéni-Alima area, urging them to become the driving force of his political movement and, in his words, to help shape the nation’s future.
He casts himself as the candidate of an emerging, sovereign people and of shared governance. He promises transformative change for a country whose populations, he says, have endured great hardship, framing his run as a break from past difficulties.
